World’s longest fully automated metro-rail is operational in Dubai

Metro Dubai

Once a small desert town, Dubai today seems to be the center of the world. Super-tall skyscrapers, blazing shopping arcades, aristocratic hotels seemed to be just the beginning. Now Dubai’s newly inaugurated metro rail is all set to become the world’s longest automated metro rail network, surpassing Vancouver’s Skytrain. The Red Line of the network partially opened at 09:09:09 PM on 9-9-2009.

Dubai’s metro is now a ‘must have’ because of the city’s recent over-congested traffic and a rapidly growing population. I wonder what is the next thing this beautiful city will come up with.
