What is the most effective method to secure / support the ends of my ruby red grapefruit tree?
This is the first year I been concerned that the weight of fruit by many large branches broken the trunk. The ruby red grapefruit tree I'm referring to is 10 years old, healthy, and has been a leading producer of the last six years. In advance, Thanks for your help in this matter.
Ruby Red Hmm Yum! I wish I could grow out of mine one year. Since your tree is healthy, the only thing I can suggest is to use keys of trees, wood piles V-(A-frames) that hold the load branches bearing the fruit trees here in Arizona. You can also eliminate some of the fruit early in the seaon before they get too big to allow other fruits to be even larger.
