Plasma Television

What’s the best kind of plasma television to buy?
I’m looking at buying a new television and want to know if I should get an LCD or a plasma. And what type of tv too. Such as Polaroid of Phillips or something.
LCD is your best bet for a flat panel TV:
Plasmas can get burn in images if you leave the same image on the screen for long, particuarly flashing images. This is not as big an issue so much anymore, mainly with something like a video game, but LCD doesn’t have this problem at all.
Plasmas have a glass front that is very reflective, especially with light in your room, and especially during dark scenes or TV or movies. LCD has a non-reflective screen.
Plasmas have a fixed pixel aspect ratio, which basically means you can see the pixels, or tiny squares, that make up the picture more easily. LCD does not.
Plasmas use more energy and run hotter than LCD’s. They aren’t as long lasting as LCD’s, partly for this reason.
Unless you need a TV bigger than 52in, LCD is the way to go. The biggest LCD i have seen for sale is 52 inches. It will be more expensive than a plasma of the same size, but it is a better TV with a better picture.
The best name brand you could buy is Sony. Stay away from any off-name brand.
