Megapixel Digital Slr

So I just returned from the store on the camera with any information on why you need more megapixels your camera. Its compact camera current has 8.1 megapixels and the seller tells you that you need to upgrade to the new 10.1-megapixel model to actually improve images. Nonsense! Here's why you do not need.
Digital cameras are often classified according to their number of megapixels, the number of megapixels of the camera is often used as a measure of image quality. This is a totally false and a myth. There are a number of factors that determine the quality of a megapixel camera and is really an insignificant role. 10.1 megapixels in a compact and inexpensive digital 10.1 megapixel SLR digital camera and opposite faces. In comparison they mean nothing. Â If you understand something, then why is their such a price difference. The price difference between a compact and a DSLR I immediately said that there are other factors to consider.
It is what really matters:
1. The quality of the camera lens
It costs too much money to build a quality objective with high quality glass. If the camera is cheap way that the goal is cheap. Even if there were 36-megapixel image quality will be average. Camera manufacturers can not afford to bring the quality of the lens in a camera of bad quality. Even with digital SLR cameras interchangeable lens, the difference between the objectives of entry level and pro lenses is huge and is measured in thousands of dollars.
2. Camera quality construction
The parties involved in the construction of a digital camera of good quality are expensive to develop and therefore the device will cost more. The cost difference between plastic or aluminum and magnesium alloy quality is enormous. It's more with digital SLR cameras. By comparing the shape of a shutter button or Dial sits on a level entrance a Pro SLR feel a big difference, which in turn is reflected in the price.
3. Quality Sensor
How do you manage your detector light and noise that results depends on the quality and construction of the CCD or CMOS sensor and ISO rating. Try taking a picture with a lot of shade and see that in the darkest parts of the image are patches of color and a more granular. This is the noise. The more expensive cameras will be much less noise, or sometimes no sound in comparison with less expensive compact devices. This degrades the image quality, even with good lens.Â
4. Control Quality
Each camera has a computer chip called the processor that has digital information through the sensor and processes in one image. How they are processed affects the overall speed and image quality. The most powerful and complex image processing for better and, of course, the better the cost of the camera. Again, the more megapixels processed by a processor of low quality will continue to give the poor image quality.
So easy to use one aspect of a camera to judge the quality of a camera and is that manufacturers and retailers have done. It is much easier to explain a number of complementary factors, but this makes the explanation of a myth. It takes nearly four times the megapixel camera in a marked improvement. Even doubling megapixels does that give a subtle change in quality. And this again in a single game, if everyone in the quality of other factors also increase.
Then how do you know what to buy? Forums reply and test sites. To see what reviewers have to say and then read the forums and listen to what people bought the camera that is interested by Say.
Use your natural instinct and you'll know when a sales person is to refuse your eyes. No manufacturer can afford to sell high quality Low prices. Consequently, many manufacturers sell a digital SLR kit with the camera lens and not a high quality to reduce costs.
So the bottom line, use your instincts. When someone wants to sell a BMW or a Mercedes for the price of the alarm should start Suzuki ring.

Olympus-420 is 10 Megapixel Digital SLR a good camera?
I saw an ad for him, and it looks great. I am only the custodian of the memory family, but I'm ready to go to a digital SLR. I keep hearing rebels Canon is a good start cam and Costco is selling $ 499. This Olympus is $ 100 more, and has a big announcement. I just want to know if you have more advertising on their behalf.
Olympus E420 SLR Digital is great and one of the smallest digital SLR and light (380g) with A 4 / 3 CCD Lens Telecentric free throws to give Fringe. I have the E510, which is approximately the same (460g a 10 MP image stabilization) are only minor inconveniences, and most sensors Digital SLR 4 / 3 = (17.3 x 13 mm) which means the photos are noisier at high ISO (400 +) cons (22.2 x 14mm) Cannon, and (23.7 x 15.6mm) the stabilization Nikon No Image May be small DSLR for some others to see the Nikon D40 and Canon 400D The best way is to go to the store and have a look and feel of each digital SLR camera and see which you prefer. I hope to help.
