Last December (2007), I bought a Canon Rebel XTi SLR Camera digital and I must say that for the price point, the picture quality and functionality was a good buy for me. I used point and several digital cameras and they were good, but nothing compared to a digital SLR camera.

When you feel comfortable with the camera photo I found that there were a number of features that I do not really understand, so they decided to buy "Canon EOS ® – 400D Digital Rebel Digital Field Guide "as I went into the book I found a number of useful elements to explore and adjust the camera and use the Digital Rebel XTi with the basics of photography, composition and techniques of great photos.

What I loved the book, is that many gallery had camera settings that the photo was taken. For example, on page 189 is an image of a bottle nail polish on the side, nail polish spilled. The book explains how the photo was taken, ISO, F stop type of lens, the speed of the camera used, etc. This feature seems very interesting and useful because it helps to understand how you can take great pictures in similar situations.

The book has step by step techniques and offer professional advice to take pictures in various situations such as fires Fireworks, street scenes, animals, children, etc..

My opinion on a book that should be in the backpack of everyone when you travel with Your Digital Rebel XTi SLR.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 – Excellent Book

What goal should I buy for my new Canon EOS Rebel XTi?

I recently bought a Canon EOS Rebel XTi (body + computer), but not lens with it. This is my first SLR, and I want to know – what is the best lens of the objective to start? Thank you, Alex.

I bought three Canon Digital Rebel. Mines, one for my wife and my granddaughter. I love mine. I have several goals for my rebel, but the two who end up using are as follows: angle 18-55mm wide and 75-300mm telephoto lens with two lenses (which will increase the number of victims for the high number) you can cover almost full range of 18mm (wide) 300 mm (very remote). EBay has great prices on these lenses, let alone a camera store. I left with a bit more that IS (Image Stabilized) lenses to compensate for the movement when footage handheld. My wife is having lots of pictures of birds our feeders. I wanted to be able to receive vaccines, even closer, but you do not want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for an "L" lens style. What I ended up buying was a Quantaray 2X DG Teleconverter for Canon, doubling my 150-600mm lens. I see some quality loss image, but not enough to disturb. I paid $ 25 for the converter, but it would be several hundred of "Canon solution" to "L" lens and the converter to do the same. Good luck and good shooting! ~
