How can you identify the type of wood furniture is a piece of?
I have an interest in the time (Eames era, Danish, mid-century) furniture. Are there any "tricks of the trade to help me recognize the type of wood (walnut, Teak, Elm …)?
if first you have to look to the bare wood of each type. smell touch the top to see how much it weighs. then look at the bottom of the unfinished furniture and compare. it takes time to learn this but it is not difficult
